My Students

This school year, I am transitioning to a class of loving and energetic first graders. Our Elementary is a Title I school with many of these students coming from low-income families, receiving a free or reduced-price lunch. Even with these circumstances, my students come to school eager to learn and interact with their classmates. We are a diverse class that learns from each other.

Going into this school year, I want to be sure my students are prepared and have the materials they need to succeed.

I am eager and excited to join my students on this learning journey and look forward to many accomplishments.

My Project

Students in Hawaii are returning to school; masked up, nervous and eager for the year ahead. Many of my first grade students have never experienced a full year at school, some haven't attended school at all. Distance learning was not easy for these 6 year olds, and I am excited to have them back in the classroom.

To help my students transition back to face-to-face learning, I hope to incorporate many arts and crafts and hands-on learning in the classroom.

The art smocks will be used whenever we do arts and crafts. As you know, 6 year olds can be pretty messy. The printer will be used to print student work (whether it be final writing pieces or coloring pages) as well as a way for me to instantly print material. The TPT gift cards will be used to purchase science/social studies/writing supplements for the school year. The CD player and audio splitter will provide my students a listening station during center time.
