A Whole New World!

My students need a new classroom set up! We are thrilled to add a 2nd computer room to our school, but the room is empty! We need basic supplies like markers, photo paper and a sharpener to set up a new class!

My Students

Our computer room has been empty since September & I am fortunate enough to be the new computer teacher. But my new room is bare! I would never take the supplies from my old classroom... but my new room is empty & I am in need of some goodies to make it home for me and the 900+ students I teach!

Our population is very diverse - many nationalities and cultures and many abilities.

We are a title 1 school and in a very low-income community where most children receive free lunch. We have an in-depth special education program, a gifted and talented program and a dual language program. My new computer room will service Kindergarteners through 5th grade!

My Project

Where do I start? My new room is all set up and I'm teaching 29 classes a week... but I am lacking basic supplies. I've requested a stapler, whole punch, markers and other items to assist the children in sharing their computer projects. I've requested a sharpener to sharpen all the pencils I bought last week. I've requested supplies for use with our color photo printer and a pack of flash drives to share with those students who truly can't afford to purchase their own. I've also asked for a calendar and Velcro to make the room look more like a classroom should!

Any new job brings with it excitement and anxiety.
