it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have had nearly zero science instruction in elementary school. They were not afforded opportunities to use scientific tools for inquiry. We have some microscopes that are probably as old as me, but many of them are damaged.This requires me to set up the few that work ok and then call students back to a station to look.
Not having a complete set of microscopes means students do not get the opportunity to learn how to use the microscopes, let alone explore the microscopic world.
Getting a full class set of microscopes would allow students quality time with the microscopes to explore, inquire, and gain crucial scientific skills with using equipment and scientific diagraming, drawing and modeling.
