Ms. Biggins from Jacksonville FL is requesting instructional technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students an interactive whiteboard for an amazing virtual learning experience that no road trip or field trip could ever give them!

My class consists of nearly 95% of scholars who are reading below grade level. Many of my students come from homes in which the parents are uneducated themselves.
Our school is a Title I school that offers free and reduced-price lunches to 100% of our students.
School lunch is the only meal many of our students receive during the day. Our school is in a critical state. We are a part of the lowest 300 schools in terms of reading proficiency.
Technology is the new way of life. Virtual and interactive presentations are becoming the way in which materials are presented to students. In fact, most companies design all their materials to be presented this way, but often forget not every classroom has the capability to have access to such technology. Funding in my school is extremely low, so the hope of the school being able to provide such technology is slim to none. I’m a teacher and expected to make lemonade out of lemons. I know that my students are meant to experience this amazing virtual lesson designed by the authors of our curriculum, but I lack the resources to provide such experiences. Updated technology in my classroom will allow my students to experience the magic of virtual and interactive learning. Many students have vision problems that they no control of. Parents are informed but often do little to nothing about it. This will allow those students to be able to see educational material better and have a better chance of learning. It also will bring excitement to learning, and let’s face it, when you are excited it brings a whole new joy for learning! I want to build lasting educational memories that my students will take with them forever.
