My Students

My students recognize the value of learning and aspire to be doctors, engineers, and scientists. They need a strong mathematics foundation to achieve their dreams. Our state has transitioned to online learning. If I am prepared with the right tools, I can help them accomplish their goals.

I want a whiteboard so that I can teach my advanced math classes from home.

We enjoy fun and lively lessons at school and I want to replicate that in our online learning interactions.

My Project

In every challenge, I try to see an opportunity. The opportunity here is to be a creative teacher and keep my students engaged in learning even though we are not in the same classroom. I am making videos twice a week to teach mathematical concepts and standards. In between students are practicing their lessons. It is working out great, and everyone is doing their best, but I am currently using a little handheld whiteboard. It is clumsy and makes it difficult for me to focus on the teaching and learning. Instead, I'm fumbling with the whiteboard.

With the stand-alone whiteboard, I am requesting, I will be able to teach with the same flexibility and energy I had in the classroom.

I will be able to focus on delivering excellent instruction that prepares my students for high school level mathematics next year.
