This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My bilingual students work hard every day to master two languages, and the time they spend on this rug is where so much of their learning and growth happens. I truly believe a new rug will make a big difference—helping them feel safe, valued, and motivated to participate and connect.

At our school, we follow the Leader in Me program, encouraging kids to be confident leaders who listen, collaborate, and take charge of their learning.

This small change—a fresh, inviting rug—will support those goals and benefit not just my current students but many future learners who come through my classroom.
