Help me give my students a welcoming and educational common space to encourage reading!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
The project aims to create a literary and comfortable common space for students who have faced challenges in traditional public schools and who often have multiple barriers to learning. These challenges could include academic struggles, personal circumstances, or other obstacles that make it difficult for them to succeed in a typical school setting. By purchasing books requested by students themselves, along with some decor, we want to create a welcoming, receptive, motivational and educational atmosphere. This initiative will not only improve the aesthetics of the area but also provide valuable resources for students to utilize, promoting a culture of reading within the school community.
