This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My kindergarten students are curious, energetic, and eager to learn! For many of them, this is their very first experience in a school setting. They come from diverse backgrounds and bring with them a range of learning styles, personalities, and needs. My goal is to create a classroom environment where each child feels welcomed, included, and confident.
This project will help set the tone for a joyful and organized start to the school year.
I’m requesting a stretchy movement band, colorful carpet spots, and floor strips to support my students in developing a strong sense of classroom community and structure.
The stretchy band will be used during morning meetings, songs, and movement breaks to build teamwork and connection through music and motion. The carpet spots and strips will help students clearly see where to sit and stand during group activities, minimizing confusion and maximizing engagement.
