I have not yet met my students in person, but have gotten to know some of them through remote learning and from what their past teachers have to say. They are bilingual, energetic, intelligent, fun, and eager bilingual and diverse learners in Kindergarten, first and second grade. I am excited to work with a diverse community of families who strive to support their child's love for learning just as much as I do, even though they do not always have the resources.
My Project
My students most definitely need a change of scenery during these times of remote learning. These second graders need to see, hear and learn from someone else. One thing all students look forward to during the school year is going on an adventure with their teacher and friends. My students need to take part in a virtual experience so they can investigate alongside a professional about insects, turtles and birds. Each student will receive a kit, listen to a live presentation and pre recorded sessions. What an amazing experience they will have to combine literacy and science in one!
