A Very Special Lesson.

My students need 30 Greek mythology books. They also need a science kit with activities and experiments in it. These items will get us off to an exciting school year!

My Students

Do you remember an exciting lesson where the teacher was able to introduce a very special book or conduct an interesting science experiment? Well I think my students deserve to have that great experience. What is missing are the materials. We have limited resources at this inner city school.

My students are a wonderful bunch from Pennsylvania who really enjoy learning.

The school is an inner city public school. My students are in the fifth grade. They really enjoy an interesting lesson. They have very inquisitive minds. The only things we lack are resources to make the lessons just that much more interesting.

My Project

I am requesting a class set of Greek Mythology to help nurture a love of reading. I find the stories are very exciting and interesting enough to get and hold their attention. Having a whole set will allow the students to not only read, but learn about classic stories. I often plan several lessons around the stories. I am also requesting a science kit so that my students can get hands on experience with science and enjoy learning about science. we do not have a science lab so this would be an extra special in my science center.

This project is important to me because I love to read and share my love for reading.

This set of books will help me share my love for reading and loving to do so! The science kit will give my students the chance to experience science in a way that is hands on and meaningful. Words can not express how much of a big impact this will have on my students.
