My Project
As a teacher, I take my role as a mentor very seriously, and I also take time to make sure that my students have a safe and quiet environment. Today, I am requesting headphones, so that my students can work on their reading programs independently on the computer. I am also requesting a vending machine, so that my scholars can be rewarded for continuing to show good work habits like following our class norms or working in a group. I am also requesting a TPT gift card so that I can buy graphic organizers and sentence starters for my scholars who are approaching grade level. Finally, I am requesting a "Writing Graphic Organizer" book, so that I can scaffold lessons and teach my scholars how to write a five-paragraph essay.
My goal for this project is to make sure that my students walk out of my classroom feeling successful.
These materials will allow my students to be able to focus and will also allow them to increase their reading level so that they can be prepared for the real world.
My scholars, this year, are getting ready to participate in the New York Times memoir contest, and I want to give them the best chance to be successful. I want this year to be a great year for them in ELA.
