My Project
Trampolines are a noted platform to progress the sensory, motor and educational skills of autistic children.
In fact, Autism Trampoline Therapy has proven to be an informal and fun way for kids with ASD to get active while advancing their mental and physical abilities.
My goal is to use this trampoline to regulate the hyperactivity of students in my class who need that crucial sensory input to regulate their emotions.
This will allow the students to learn better and keep their social emotional status stable. In addition the ability to keep the trampoline in the class will allow the students to be more independent and self-regulate their emotions.
My students are a fun loving group of African American and Latino students with autism on the south side of Chicago who make me smile everyday.
