This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Teachers at our Carbondale school are hoping to raise money for our upcoming field trips to the St. Louis Zoo (2nd Grade) and the St. Louis Science Center (3rd Grade).
So many of our students lack real-world experiences, and this trip provides just that!
We especially look forward to providing our English language learners and low-income students with what could be a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Many of our students don't have much, but their efforts in the classroom show that they want to know more about what we are learning about every day!
My Project
When taking our 2nd-grade students on a field trip to the Saint Louis Zoo, we will provide an active, explorative experience. The students will be able to observe animals, their habitats, and bring to life to the sights and sounds of each animal!
By taking our 3rd-grade students on a field trip to the Saint Louis Science Center, we will apply information that they have learned about all year long.
Students will dig deeper with fossils, explore life cycles, and make serious connections to exhibits focused on magnetism, force, and motion.
With the help and financial support of individuals/businesses like you, we will provide the best experience we can for our students at our school.
