My Students

I teach in a diverse school consisting of over 450 students in Kindergarten thru 5th grade.
Due to current budget limitations our music budget has decreased but our need for various musical supplies to teach our curriculum has remained the same. My band students are in need of a triangle and triangle supplies to support our Instrumental program. Most beginning band repertoire requires the use of a triangle.
My Project
A triangle, triangle clip, and triangle beaters would allow important percussion parts to be covered during a band practice and performance. Percussion students will learn the fundamentals of how to play an important auxiliary instrument and how to play an independent rhythmic part separate from the snare and bass drum. A triangle is used in almost all beginning band literature.
By having the above items a different tone color and additional rhythmic parts will be added to the overall sound of the band and improve our yearly performances.
The smiles on the band students faces, especially the percussion students, will be priceless and something they will always remember.
