Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you have a 1st grader at home? Do they constantly drop things and leave dirty fingerprints? Well my 1st graders do. That is why we need an iPad protector screen, a cover (with keyboard) and a protective case.
My students are from a high poverty school in Southern California.
I have a classroom of 24 students. The majority are English Language Learners who receive free or reduced lunch. They come from homes where both parents work. Some are latch key kids or spend a lot of time with babysitters. My students love learning but do not always have access to materials that encourage them to learn at their full capacity
My Project
An iPad a wonderful tool to be able to use in the class. We recently just got one! But, I realized that with dirty clumsy little hands, the iPad is bound to be destroyed. Not only with the kids leave fingerprints, but if it is dropped it will surely crack or break. That is why a cover/case is so valuable. With the added feature of the keyboard they will actually be able to use their fingers for games that have typing involved... not just the touch screen. The neoprene carrying case will help protect it while being handled around the class or stored in a closet.
These added accessories will help protect our class iPad for years.
I want the kids to be able to use it in class, but I need to add these features to it, so it stays in working condition.
