it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Many of my students are from low-income households. Therefore, they don't have the resources necessary to print essays at home, so they need to print them at school. Fortunately, my students can type their essay on computers at school. However, they are unable to print these essays because I don't have toner for our classroom printer. Unfortunately, my school doesn't provide toner, so I must buy it on my own.
With a new toner cartridge for our classroom printer, my students will be able to print their essays to facilitate the writing process, especially with regard to revising, editing, and publishing their essays.
My Project
My students need to print! I can motivate my students to write, but I need a way for them to print their essays. Therefore, I ordered a toner cartridge for our classroom printer.
Getting this project funded will allow my students to print their essays, so they can do pair/share peer editing and revise their writing.
It's helpful for students to see several revisions of their writing in order to track improvement, so my students need to print out the various drafts of their essays. After the printed final drafts are graded, my students can put these essays in their portfolios.
