Help me give my students an educational classroom garden experience, as well as a few other classroom supplies needed to support student learning and overall well-being!
Our school district has the motto: Every Child, Every Day. It's not what students can/can't do; it's how we are going to get them there. We work hard to develop proactive leaders who will contribute to society in a positive way.
My students work hard every day, and they are developing positive habits that will impact our community and world.
They understand that: 1.) They can do anything they set their mind to, 2.) What we do here is important, and 3.) We will not give up on ourselves or each other.
My students are kind, supportive of one another, and motivated. They enjoy learning and are self-directed learners that take their learning beyond the classroom. I challenge myself to provide opportunities for this driven exploration.
My Project
I have requested supplies needed to create a hands-on classroom garden experience for students. This will not only aide in the instruction of our living /non-living unit, I believe it will also help cultivate and enrich the overall emotional needs of our students by allowing them the opportunity to observe their growing plants.
Our classroom is a place to feel safe and enjoy exploring and learning from the world around us.
We use the laminating pouches to help display, observe, and preserve the leaves and parts of plants. It's a really neat use of materials. We will use the ink when we type and print informational, opinion, and narrative writing pieces. This provides the students with the opportunity to communicate their thoughts and learning experiences. We need the classroom scissors for our interactive notebooks.
I also requested needed sanitation supplies such as disinfecting wipes, air purifier filter replacements, and hand sanitizer dispensers with batteries. Staying healthy supports academic learning by allowing students to stay in school.
