Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am an ESOL teacher and I teach three classes of students (mostly beginners). I also push into some classrooms and help students who have a higher ESOL level. I help students with their reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
I have noticed that some of my students are requesting drinks of water on a very regular basis.
Some of my students have asthma and having a bottle of water would be very helpful to have during recess or after recess. Some of our students bring bottled water or water bottles to school from home.
Many students do not or some forgot their water bottles at home.
I am requesting small bottles of water for my English Language Learners that can be refilled at our hydration stations that are in the hallway when students have finished drinking the water in the initial water bottle that I will give them. These water bottles will help my students with their health and wellness.
Having these bottles of water to drink will help my students focus on their work without having the distraction of being thirsty. My students and I thank you in advance for your kind donations and your support!
