it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are creating a calming corner in each classroom, designed to help them self-regulate during challenging moments. This project empowers students to take ownership of their emotional well-being while staying engaged in learning. To make these spaces effective, we need tools like coloring books, markers, soothing stickers, and affirmation cards.
These resources will provide sensory and emotional support, helping students express their feelings constructively.
The project is student-designed, fostering responsibility and ensuring the space meets their needs. By utilizing the calming corners, students can return to learning more quickly after challenges at school or home.
