My Students
My students attend a public school where diversity is immense in all aspects. Students come to our school with varying socioeconomic backgrounds, differing English language acquisition levels, special needs, and childhood experiences. During this pandemic, while many schools remain closed to in-person instruction, my students need the necessary resources and materials to engage them in learning from home.
While my students have been participating in zoom sessions daily to engage in virtual lessons, it is always more convenient and easier for them to have hands-on materials, puzzles, and games that can be used to help reinforce, manipulate, and enrich their learning.
My Project
Having TeacherPayTeacher gift cards can be helpful for the teacher to be able to purchase pre-made resources that are readily available to download and print, thus saving time for teachers to focus on other different needs of the classroom and students, instead of spending the time "reinventing the wheel". Such resources may include thematic coloring activity sheets, curriculum bundles, Social Stories for students with autism, visual charts and colorful posters.
Many of these materials can be purchased online, downloaded, printed and laminated to use as supplementary materials and resources for my students in the classroom.
There are also opportunities to purchase boom cards, which my students really enjoy doing, as well as pre-made slide decks that can save lots of time for the teacher to incorporate to my lesson plans. Because many of the materials I would use are geared towards the younger students, they are attractive, cute, and engaging, keeping it fun and simple for young children.
