My Project
The use of these materials will help create retention for my kindergarten to second-grade students who require a more visual and tangible approach to learning. The alphabet tubs will allow my students to apply their weekly focus letter to things they see and use that begin with the same letter. It will also allow them to connect the letters they learn in the classroom to their everyday lives with objects they've seen outside of the classroom. The touch-and-learn cards will help my students who require sensory learning and a bit more time to connect a feeling to a letter. Lastly, reading these Alphatales will emphasize a letter and its sound in a way that will stick out to them. My students enjoy learning and I believe these will enhance their learning in letter recognition and generalization as well.
