My Students
My fourth grade students are active and energetic. They have the desire to work hard, and thrive when they can move and wiggle!
My students have an amazing desire to learn and grow.
Many different learning abilities within the classroom require a variety of learning options to ensure that all students needs are attended to.
My students are simply amazing and I am so very blessed to teach each one of them. They are fun, silly, active, kind, curious, motivated, intelligent kids and I just love them!
My Project
My classroom is one of constant activity. My students regularly work with partners and in small groups. While they are working they tend to leave their seats and find more comfortable places to work. Many times they choose the floor or sit on the few existing pillow that we have in our reading corner.
Flexible seating options would allow my students to be more comfortable during the school day, which in turn would help their motivation and increase their desire to learn.
Balance balls, floor cushions, stools and bouncy bands will allow my students the opportunity to wiggle without leaving their seats and keep them on task during instruction time.
My students thrive when they are given the opportunity to make their own choices. More often than not, they make positive choices and work hard. I feel that flexible seating would motivate my students while helping them practice making good choices, and increasing their desire to learn and grow.
