it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I was blessed to have new student tables funded through a Donorschoose project when Google LA flash funded all the live LA area projects last year. These new clover shaped tables are wonderful to have except they take up a lot of space. I need to replace my old round table to a rectangular table!
My school is a small, Title I school where a lot of my students qualify for the reduced price or free lunch program.
Many students come from diverse cultural backgrounds. There are 16 different languages spoken at my school. Most are English language learners, speaking English as their second language. My Kindergarten students come to school daily eager to learn.
My Project
With this new rectangular table, we won't be so packed and crowded when we need to work in small groups. There is no room for my old round table, but I need a table to help my students in small groups. A rectangular table would fit perfectly in my classroom, and we would all be able to pass through all the furniture.
As a teacher who spends endless hours in a classroom, I always feel that I need to keep my room organized and safe for all my students.
I really want to have a classroom that is not packed up so tightly due to all the furniture that don't fit. I would be thrilled to have this new table for my students. Thank you for your consideration.
