My students are from a small community in north east Wisconsin. Our school district enjoys wonderful parent and strong community support. Small class size and the opportunity for one-to-one instruction are hallmarks of the district. Educational technology is used extensively to support instruction.
My PK students are just getting started using the library and making their first steps towards becoming life long readers.
Our library furniture is a little dated and because our school is so small, we have limited availability to replace all furniture. As a result, my PK readers don't have a comfortable place to be.
Help me give my youngest students a place to be in the library. Currently the library consists of adult sized tables and chairs so my PK students struggle to find a comfortable place to be.
It is important to include children in a reading community from the very start.
This PK space in my library will let them know that they matter and we want them to develop a love of reading and learning. I am so grateful for help towards meeting these goals. I can't wait for my youngest learners to have a spot just for them in the library. Thank you so much!
