My Project

Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, I recently converted an unused space in our library to a Cool Down Corner. There are comfortable chairs, calming colors, and items designed to soothe students who are feeling stressed. The one thing I forgot to include was a table or work surface for those who choose to write or color in the cool down corner.

Individual lap desks will expand the options available to students who visit the Cool Down Corner.

I've found that some students prefer working in this quiet corner, but lack of table space makes this a challenge. Students may choose to bring classwork to the corner or color or process their feelings through writing. I'm also requesting some new soothing items to expand available choices.
