Please help me give my students a bucket of summer fun, including jump ropes, bubbles, chalk, workbooks, beach balls, and sunglasses, for a little bit of learning and a lot of fun!
My students are amazing first-graders! They have worked hard this school year to improve their math and reading skills, and we have seen tremendous gains! Many of our students don't have materials at home to support their learning. We all know about the "summer slide," which affects many students. To help prevent this, I would love to provide my students with fun math and reading workbooks so they can continue their learning over the summer. The jump ropes, beach balls, and sidewalk chalk will also allowallow them to have some fun and be active outside, which they may not have otherwise.
These materials will support the skills they have mastered while reinforcing the ones they may need support with and also provide some summer fun!
