Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am lucky to teach a group of enthusiastic, kind-hearted students who are excited to learn and grow each day. They bring so much energy and curiosity into the classroom, and they each have unique strengths that make our classroom feel like a special community. However, for many of my students, their families face financial challenges that make it difficult to provide even the most basic school supplies. When school starts, I want my students to feel ready and confident—not scrambling to collect materials or feeling self-conscious about not having what they need.
By having these supplies like markers, erasers, cardstock and more on hand from day one, I can ensure every student has what they need to succeed without putting the burden on families.
This makes such a difference because it allows us to jump straight into learning and building relationships, rather than spending time tracking down supplies. With your support, my students will walk in with the tools they need and ready to dive into the year with excitement and focus. It will give them the confidence to shine and the tools to thrive, without having to worry about what’s missing.
