Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As an itinerant teacher, my mission is to turn curiosity into confidence, wobbly pencil grips into bold ideas, and giggles into growth. Our classroom is a busy hub of learning, laughter, and the occasional emotional outburst — but one thing we’re still missing is a reliable piece of tech to help bring our biggest ideas to life.
That’s where the MacBook comes in.
With your support, we’re hoping to welcome a MacBook (and a protective case — because kids, while brilliant, are also... enthusiastically hands-on) into our small-group station rotation. This laptop will allow us to access critical learning tools: adaptive software, interactive lessons, STEM project resources, and educational apps that support differentiated instruction.
Right now, certain intervention stations are running on imagination and elbow grease alone. Imagine what we could do with an actual functioning device:
One-on-one academic support for literacy and various student needs.
Project-based learning where students researching, building, and present the information they learn.
Critical tech exposure that prepares them for the real world — or at least life after my class.
A MacBook in our classroom isn’t just a computer. It’s a launchpad for thinkers, builders, readers, and leaders.
