We are going to celebrate the 100th day of school with an amazing Construction Day. The activities planned will reinforce place value concepts and dovetail engineering with high interest materials and activities.
I will transform my room into a set of play construction sites that will engage my students in hands-on STEM activities.
Students will experience working with primary building materials in groups of 10s and 100s to reinforce mathematical concepts of place value.
This special day of activities will build a conceptual understanding of math and engineering. The materials I need to do this will assist my students with these projects and build engagement.
