This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The one thing my older students crave the most in my STEAM classroom is a project they can create and take home. In most cases, projects have to be disassembled because the materials need to be used for other classes. What better STEAM project than a light up Christmas Tree.

Students will get to design, create and then treasure their project.

Their design will come to life once they select the tulle and glitter of their choice and then start building using the bamboo skewer. They'll add a star to the top they wire themselves so it lights up. The best part is they'll get to take their creation home and enjoy it with their families.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
