it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Without an auditorium of their own, our students constantly find themselves performing in various venues with limited resources and inadequate lighting. With the donation of a lighting system, our students can rest assured that their tireless efforts will not be dampened by the dark.
Our children are very proud high school students.
They are the gems of a traditionally tough area and really take pride in their success in an area that isn't "supposed" to succeed. They are all musical beginners but they are very eager to learn. Unfortunately the financial state of the school does not allow for much expansion.
My Project
Our recent spring performance left some of our students feeling disappointed because the auditorium that we borrowed for the performance did not have adequate lighting. As a result, the audience had trouble seeing their children, and the performers had trouble seeing each other. As simple as it may seem, the students were understandably rattled by this development, and their performance suffered. Your generous donation will go a long way in preventing this unfortunate situation from occurring again. Our students can prepare for their performances this year with the confidence that they can once again rely on each other. In addition, the audience can rest assured that they will be able to enjoy the fruits of their children’s talent and hard work.
As the musical director of our school, I take great pride in our students’ success and talent.
I also want to make sure that their performances are not tainted by technical limitations. Our students deserve the best opportunity to showcase their talents and with your generosity, we can make sure that another performance does not go by without the students feeling proud and confident in themselves.
