My Project
My students LOVE the leaf chairs in our classroom. They sit in them when we’re at the carpet or they use them to spread around the room while reading. Having additional leaf chairs will give more of my students the opportunity to get comfy while reading or seated at the carpet.
It’s so important for students to read books that act as mirrors, windows, and doors into other cultures.
As a class we’re currently reading “Where the Mountain Meets the Moon” by Grace Lin. I have requested more books by this amazing author for my students to devour.
Finally, I have requested galactic putty, erasable pens, and black cardstock. The putty and pens are for our prize box. The cardstock will be used for a number of literacy and math project that we’ll be doing this year.
