My Students

I teach amazing third graders at a public school in an urban city in Maryland. My class consists of 20 children, 11 girls and 9 boys. We have had many fun adventures together so far, with many more to come. One adventure being the move to our new school building in January 2022! With this move, we need a few things to help our new space feel like home.

My Project

Our school was selected in 2012 to be rebuilt as a 21st century school. After years of planning, delays, and navigating through a pandemic, our new building has been built and is awaiting our return from Winter Break. Our new building has many amazing features such as advanced technology, new equipment, and even a garden. Unfortunately, our new classroom will not have a carpet.

I am requesting carpet squares to provide my students with comfortable seating as we will no longer have a classroom carpet.

We do many activities on the floor in our classroom, so these carpet squares will come in handy. My students will be able to quickly grab a carpet square and get to work comfortably.
