it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are young, eager learners. They are all working toward learning a second language, and the amount of brain development they experience while learning a second language is tremendous. We spend our days in our classroom making connections and growing dendrites that will boost us forward in our educational career.
The school where I am privileged to teach is a hidden gem in our city.
Our community is not rich in finances, but it is rich in spirit and values. Most of my students come from humble homes with hardworking parents who give their all for their children. Our school is a second home for our students as well as for our teachers.
My Project
My students need a new area rug for our classroom library and whole group meeting space. The rug we have chosen provides clear individual spots for each student, ensuring everyone has their own personal space when we come together.
A positive and engaging learning environment is essential in early childhood education.
We use our classroom library and whole group meeting space throughout the day, and it provides a central place for us to come together. The students use this area to read together, to work on projects, and to review skills during center time. We also use this area for mini lessons and story time.
