My Students
My third graders are a very energetic group! They love working together and learn so much from their peers. Our classroom meeting space in front of the whiteboard is a vital part of our room where so much learning takes place.
Help us build a caring and respectful classroom community!
Having a larger and more comfortable carpet area will help us build our community and make carpet learning time more effective. Having an organized area with designated seat circles will help enable students to focus on instruction.
My Project
Our classroom is strongly in need of a rug to help make it an inviting and effective learning space. The lessons and activities that happen at our classroom meeting space are essential parts of our daily learning. Group meeting activities help build classroom community, build social-emotional learning skills, and strengthen focus and attention. A comfortable carpet with designated seating areas will help save important instruction time, because students will have clear expectations about where to sit each time they come to the carpet to learn.
This carpet will benefit my current students as well as the students I will have in the future.
It will help us to continue to grow as a caring and respectful classroom community.
