A-Splishing and A-Splashing: Sand and Water Table Fun
My students need a Picnic Sand and Water Play Table with cover.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Regal's classroom raised $147
This project is fully funded
It has been my joy to teach Kindergarten at a great school for the past 16 years. The best part for me has been to watch each student grow and change from the first day of school to the last. What an amazing transformation!
Kindergarteners learn best using a wide variety of hands-on materials to explore and make discoveries about the everyday objects and concepts around them. It is a huge goal of mine to provide as many of these opportunities as I can for my students.
The picnic sand and water play table would be so useful and fun for teaching a huge variety of topics in almost every subject area. The ideas are endless. Here are just a few examples of how I would use this table in each subject area. In math, we could explore the concepts of volume, capacity, and weight, using different sized containers filled with sand. In reading, we could play a beach comber game where objects that begin with different letters can be buried in the sand. The student would have to dig for the object and then name the letter it started with. In science, we could use the water section of the table to predict and discover which objects sink and float. I am so excited just thinking of all of the activities that I could use this table for. The ideas are just popping into my head one after another. My students would just love this sand and water table for our classroom and so would I.
I hope you will consider funding my proposal for a Picnic Sand and Water Play Table. Your help will ensure that my students have the opportunity to learn about so many important math, reading and science topics in a fun and engaging way. Thank you so much for looking at this proposal. My students would be simply thrilled to have this table for our classroom.
