This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our special education resource room is in need of beautification! In this classroom we have students in the special education program who receive small group instruction come to learn with on of our amazing special education teachers. We also use the classroom for small group testing throughout the year , specifically with students with disabilities or who need accomodations. The room is also used to host parent and district staff for Special Education meetings including ARDs/IEPs meetings.

One of our SpEd team projects is to renovate and decorate the resource room to create a comforting and wonderful environment for staff, students and families.

We want our students to enter a classroom that is a joy to be in. We want families to feel at home when they come for meetings with our Special Education team.

We have a few projects in mind starting with a new conference table. The table will be intended to use for special education meetings. During the school day the table will also be used for small group interventions and small group testing. The size of the table is important as it will allow us to hold larger groups for meetings and small groups.
