I have a wide variety of students with reading levels that range from first grade to sixth grade. They are absolutely hooked on reading. Many times throughout the day, I have to ask them to save their books until the lesson is over!
These enthusiastic readers learn in a rural, Title I school that was recently affected by Hurricane Harvey.
This doesn't stop the kids from devouring all the books they encounter. These amazing students could benefit from your generosity! They work hard and deserve the best.
Currently, my students use a cardboard mailbox system. It has lasted three years, but is starting to fall apart. We would like to reduce waste by having a more permanent solution to our organizing system.
Organizing is a practice, not a project.
This organization system teaches students to organize, which is an incredibly important life skill. It will also aid in keeping our classroom tidy. We are so excited to have generous donors consider this project for our classroom. We will use these mailboxes to store papers to pass out, safely keep papers we are still working on, and store papers for the six week period. This is especially helpful for longer assignments, such as writing drafts or hands-on projects.
If you donated to this project, you can sign in to leave a comment for Mrs. Gibson.
