This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My first graders are a cheerful group of wide-eyed children excited to learn! My students are composed of a variety of backgrounds and languages. This class is full of creative and eager learners.

This is why I believe it is so important to give my students the very best instruction I possibly can with a variety of resources. I want my classroom to be a safe and healthy place where my students can thrive and be their very best!
My Project
Our current carpet has been loved by many students for over 9 years and is ready to retire! It collected over a years worth of dust and additional stains being in school storage during our distance learning. Despite our best efforts of vacuuming and having it steam cleaned over summer breaks, it has had enough.
My students deserve a beautiful and clean space for learning!
This will help further motivate them coming to school knowing they have a colorful place for listening to stories, sharing with their classmates, and more.
