My Students
Like most kindergarteners, mine are eager to learn. They also like to move around the room and not just sit in one spot for the entire day. They enjoy expressing themselves in an artistic manner, and I want to give them the ability to do that. I want to give them the tools to thrive in their learning environment.
Building their enjoyment of learning and reading is my goal, and adding flexible seating and making the classroom feel like home is how I strive to do that!
My Project
I am a firm believer that for kindergarteners to enjoy learning sometimes they need to get a little messy. They also need to experience learning hands on. I believe they can do this by illustrating with their hands. We can paint clouds with marshmallows and we can paint the American flag with our hands.
A student that is having fun learning with enjoy school, which is what I want for all of my students.
Having fun learning can also mean students reading what they enjoy. Building up my guided reading options will allow me to read what students are interested in, with them.
