I am a firm believer that for kindergarteners to enjoy learning sometimes they need to get a little messy. They also need to experience learning hands on. I believe they can do this by illustrating with their hands. We can paint clouds with marshmallows and we can paint the American flag with our hands. A student that is having fun learning with enjoy school, which is what I want for all of my students. Having fun learning can also mean students reading what they enjoy. Building up my guided reading options will allow me to read what students are interested in, with them.
