This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a 5th grade teacher, I am requesting funding for 32 Flash Furniture Billie 24” Student Desks with Open Front Metal Book Boxes (Gray Granite/Silver). Our current desks are outdated, bulky, and over 20 years old, making them difficult to move and inefficient for today’s learning needs. Replacing them with these modern, compact desks will greatly improve the learning environment for our students.

Our classrooms are very small, and the large size of our current desks makes it difficult for students to move around freely.

This limits our ability to engage in flexible learning activities, group work, and even simple transitions between lessons. The new desks are significantly smaller and more lightweight, which would open up the space, allow for better classroom flow, and give students the room they need to thrive.

In addition to improving mobility and space, the new desks come with built-in book boxes, helping students stay organized and minimizing clutter. This would contribute to a more focused and productive classroom environment. Your support in helping us purchase these 32 desks would have a lasting impact on both the physical space and the quality of education our students receive.
