Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are young learners ages 3-5, who qualify for specialized services, due to various mild/moderate disabilities. Each child has their own Individualized Education Plan and is working on developing unique skills in areas such as: communication, large and small muscle coordination, socialization with peers, and preacademics.
Our goal is to support our students in all aspects of their development, in a positive and caring manner.
We want to motivate, encourage, and instill a love of learning that will last throughout their lifetime!
My Project
Movement can facilitate learning, especially in active and busy young kinesthetic learners. We want to give our students the opportunity to choose and utilize different postural mediums to engage during their daily learning routines. These flex space wobble chairs would be a great way to incorporate some movement into daily table top and small group activities without causing disruption to the classroom. These chairs are ideal for those who like to wiggle when they sit while simultaneously promoting a safe seated option. Each chair has a rounded base that allows students a little movement without tipping over. The definition of flexible!
Providing students with various seating options helps support their unique and individual learning needs.
