Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project will give my students the opportunity to hang out and work on their homework and class work during their lunch period. I can think of endless times during the school year where students needed a space for them to hangout and work in a safe room, I often overheard students speaking about “if our school had a space where we could hangout and have a couch or comfortable chairs, that would motivate us”. In order for this to happen, I imagine a space that includes chairs, a rug, and a bean bag where they can come in and work on their work while also feeling comfortable in the space.
