Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach an amazing class of 24 second graders. They are quite a diverse group of students. Over half my class are English language learners and are working hard to master their second grade skills.
Our classroom space is somewhat small and we only have one small carpet.
Our class would benefit greatly from having a class area rug where we can all sit and meet comfortably. A spot for each student would help eliminate the struggle to find a space.
We have a morning meeting each day which helps build our classroom community. A new rug would brighten our space and allow students to feel included.
