Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work in a rural area school and most of our students are multilingual learners. We work together with their content area teachers to help them improve in ELA and Math. I am asking for these specific books because they will be able to get a better grasp of some basic aspects of English and from that, have a stronger basis to build on. Also, I have ask for some supplies such as markers, cardstock and construction paper. In my class, many times students are asked to create their own posters and flashcards to make what they have learned memorable for them and their peers. With these supplies and materials, we can add a lot more to what we do and they will help us tremendously to start the year with a solid foundation.
