My Students
Ms. Marks' Resource Room has the brightest students around! My students are ready to work hard and also take time to show their creativity. They love having a special place in our school to focus on their learning goals and make awesome progress. My students especially like to use funny voices when reading aloud and make up their own stories to tell to their classmates.
My Project
Research has shown that natural lighting creates a more hospitable atmosphere for learners of all types and abilities. Unfortunately, most classrooms are equipped with harsh, overly-bright fluorescent lights. Rather than enjoying time reading a good book, my students' eyesight often becomes tired as the day wears on. My special education students deserve the best learning environment possible.

With a softer, welcoming environment, my students will be more inclined to read on their own, focus on the lesson at-hand, and truly absorb the content. They will enjoy what they've read rather than feeling tired or unfocused.
