My Students

My students are from a variety of economic living situations. One fourth of my students are ELL and I also have many students that are on free or reduced price lunch. My students' families are hard working and very supportive. I have moms that come and help us weekly; this helps foster a sense of community.

Our classroom is a family and we work together to learn and achieve even with all the differences.

They love to learn using technology, literature, and hands-on activities. My students come to school ready to learn and eager to do their best.

My Project

My kindergarten students need a soft spot to sit and listen to stories and lessons. They come in happy and eager to learn every morning. Kindergarten students need to be able to move around during the day. Sitting at a table all day is a difficult task. Having a soft spot to sit and stretch out can make the learning environment more comfortable.

They love to read, play games, do math and centers on the floor, having a soft spot to sit will make learning more comfortable.

My students love to learn and would love a soft learning carpet in our classroom.
