This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting a rug for my classroom to give my students a space in the room that can truly feel like home. We spend so much time gathered together in the area of my room where this rug would belong and this would make it feel much more complete.
For many students the classroom is one of the only places they feel truly safe and supported.
Although a rug is so simple, it can give students a place they look forward to spending time. This rug will make the classroom more inviting and encourage deeper learning.
