A Snack Each Day Helps My Students Work and Play!

Help me give my students a healthy snack. My fifth-graders come to school so hungry and need a snack before their late lunch. These healthy snack options will help their bodies and minds and prepare them for learning!

My Project

Some of students come to school each day hungry. Other students make it to my classroom right as the bell rings and haven't had any breakfast. Then our fifth-graders have the last lunch and it is hard to teach students who can't concentrate because they are hungry. This project will supply students with a healthy snack for recess. Snacks are something that I purchase through my own paycheck, but it adds up!

Our fifth-grade curriculum is rigorous.

Students who are hungry are lethargic and hard to motivate. A morning snack keeps these struggling student going...As I tell my students daily, their bodies are like cars and just like cars they need FUEL! I will use these healthy snacks to encourage and motivate my students to try their best!
